Anna Wintour
With a simple swoosh of her iconic bob, the Vogue Editor-in-Chief can make or break just about anyone in fashion - or publishing, for that matter. In 2013 she was named the artistic director of the whole shebang over at Condé Nast. If you count her influence at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (which renamed its costume institute after her), Wintour has her hand on the pulse of just about every creative field in New York.
