Tenement Museum
This LES building offers a peek into the life of immigrants in NYC. Home to 7,000+ working class European immigrants in the late 19th and early 20th centuries looking to build new lives, successful futures, and happy families. The museum offers 3 different experiences: tour the building and its residents' homes, meet the residents of 97 Orchard and get a peek into their lives, or walk around the LES neighborhood to see how the immigrants helped shape its culture. Adult tickets are $25. This museum shows how difficult conditions really were, and how hard our previous generations worked to create lives in America.
