The pink-hued workspace and clubhouse dedicated to giving women a room of one's own is today announcing a worldwide takeover.
The success of its first location (the Flatiron penthouse), led the self-proclaimed "coven" for career-minded women to open outposts in Soho, DUMBO, and Washington D.C. And despite running into a slight legal snafu here in NYC (are men legally allowed to be excluded?), co-founders Audrey Gelman and Lauren Kassan have set their sights on Williamsburg, as well as five new cities across the globe.
The exciting expansion includes locations in L.A., San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and London, the latter two marking its first moves outside the U.S. Having raised $40 million in venture capital, the world really is their oyster.
"We’re thrilled to be able to expand The Wing’s community with these new locations. We’ve received inquiries from women all over the world, asking us to bring The Wing to their home city and this is just the start of what we expect to be a very exciting journey," says Gelman, The Wing's CEO.
While word is still out on when, exactly, the doors will open in Williamsburg and beyond, billboards have just hit the cities and are surely generating plenty of buzz.
