Teardrop Park
This Battery Park City hideaway is across the street from the bigger, more popular Hudson River Park where many tanners get a riverside view while enjoying nice weather. What Teardrop Park lacks in waterfront real estate, it makes up for it with its design and architecture.
The brainchild of Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Tear Drop Park has a forest aesthetic that pays homage to Frederick Law Olmsted and features art by Ann Hamilton. It's also the perfect place for eco-friendly fiends, since the park was designed in accordance to Battery Park's Green Guidelines, which emphasis using sustainable materials and recycling.
