Ladurée Cafe
The photos of the Ladurée restaurant in SOHO are so deceptive. It looks picturesque, but in reality run down and dingy are the best descriptors. If you've eaten at Serendipity, Ladurée has the exact same sense of one filthy rag being used to wipe down every single surface. My defining memory of eating at Ladurée is a waiter almost dropping one of the extremely heavy ceramic plates on someone. Luckily it only shattered violently on the patio.
