Do you remember Sassy? Were you a riot grrrl? Did you make mix tapes for your boyfriend or girlfriend? If you don't know, haven't lived or haven't experienced any of these references than you better bone up on your 90's trivia because its official: the 90s are back! Last night author Marisa Meltzer celebrated the release of her new book "Girl Power: The Nineties Revolution in Music" with a packed house of friends and supporters.
Some of the sweet 90's faces in attendance were Allison Wolfe from riot grrrl band Bratmobile, Jon-Jon Goulian and even former staffers of Sassy Magazine! (Seriously, if you don't know what this magazine was google it asap). Guests danced in their 90's vintage best - Betsey Johnson all the way! - to vinyl mixes of TI, Liz Phair and Bikini Kill.
