DKNY hosted a party last night for the launch of Amy Tara Koch's new book, "Bump It Up", which is NOT about Bump-its, but rather "a new style bible for the chic Mommy-To-Be." Which, alright, is probably a lot more useful of a book.-
The book provides instructions on how to "transform your pregnancy into the ultimate style statement". (Suddenly, I feel really unstylish for not being pregnant!)
Guests at the event got to try on bump-flattering clothes at the DKNY Madison Avenue store while sipping champagne (or, in some cases, mocktails). They were also instructed on the "Dos and Don'ts" of dressing while pregnant. (Dos: chic maxi dresses. Don'ts: unflattering mumus.) Amy also read an excerpt from Bump It Up, and provided style tips to "struggling pregnantistas to-be", though it's unclear what makes one a struggling pregnantista: an inability to look stylish, or to see their toes?
Among the guests was new Real Housewives of New York cast member Jennifer Gilbert, author of "Save The Date" (and other possible contender for Simon and Alex's veiled "ghost writer" comment...)
