For the fifth year in a row, an "Important Dinner For Women" was held on Monday evening at the Mandarin Oriental. Female leaders from the political, entertainment, business and fashion worlds came together to dine, and more importantly discuss some of the problems that women are faced with worldwide, from maternal mortality to extreme poverty.-
Forget cocktail talk and ice breakers. Arianna Huffington, Gisele Bundchen, Ashley Judd, Christy Turlington, Barbara Streisand, Estelle, Catherine Malandrino, Molly Sims, Martha Stewart, Ivanka Trump, Jessica Seinfeld and Queen Rania of Jordan discussed UN Millennium Development goals and pledged to make them happen by 2015, all by the time dessert was served.
"It's really phenomenal to get all this female firepower together in one room," Ivanka Trump told WSJ.
These women are saving the world, and looking damn good while doing it.
