This past Thursday, Yves Saint Laurent premiered its latest fragrance 'Belle D'Opium' and threw a multi-sensorial soiree to celebrate the launch. Guests included many of young Hollywood's most fashionable players: Ashley Olsen, Alexis Bledel, Whitney Port, Tinsley Mortimer, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Mark Hunter "The Cobrasnake."

The original party (held in 1977) dedicated to the Opium fragrance was lavish and over the top. Probably most memorable for its decked-out Asian inspired ship down at South Street Seaport and 1,000 pound bronze statue of Buddha flanked by cattleya orchids. Clearly, this years celebration had a lot to live up to and it did not disappoint.

Guests were surrounded by a poly-sensorial experience. Gold cylinders set up on platforms were spinning while a projected YSL video covered the walls. If that wasn't trippy enough, holograms of a woman dancing invaded the room. Even "Smell-O-Vision" was introduced into the night as the fragrance was released through the gold cylinders. Sound like a headache yet? YSL lived up to their party reputation and provided their guests with the ultimate opium experience.

Alexandra Richards and Alexa Chung djed and spun custom mixes.
