Other details: On Friday, Grandlife Hotels presented their third 'This Is New York' party at the Tribeca Grand hotel. Guests flooded into the basement in eager anticipation for the performance by Devonte Hynes, aka Blood Orange. As Florencia Galarza DJ'd to start the night, Hynes relaxed with the crowd nonchalantly, with only the occasional guest approaching him to express their adoration. He soon jumped on the decks himself, playing tracks that set the mood for his performance. The room was completely filled up by the time the band was ready, with guests including Erin Wasson, Zoe Kravitz, Virgil Abloh, Jane Aldridge, and more. He played songs of his excellent 2013 album "Cupid Deluxe" including "Chamakay" and "You're Not Good Enough" before telling the crowd that he wasn't there for a quick fashion party performance, but a full show. He continued delivering tracks with singer Samantha Urbani, while Vampire Weekend lead singer Ezra Koenig intently watched from the back of the stage until the show was over.
