Other details: On Friday W Magazine and Saks Fifth Avenue celebrated W's new Art issue with a party at Sotheby's. The event coincided with Frieze Week, so guests who were already in the art spirit were enamored by the artwork displayed throughout the floor. Artists including Rob Pruitt, Alex Katz, and Urs Fisher joined W's Stefano Tonchi and Saks' Mark Briggs as they sipped on Absolut Elyx cocktails and observed pieces by Jean Dubuffet and more. DJ Elle Dee was a hit, with her seamless blend of dance tracks drawing in praise from guests all night. Electric Room owner Nur Khan hung around the DJ booth, while Daniel Arsham, Ahn Duong, and Giovanna Battaglia roamed around the space and mingled. The event was a highlight from the art-filled week, and the W: Art issue with a feature story on Pharrell will be on the newsstands on May 27th.
