Other details: The Empire State building was lit orange last night during the event in honor of the 1.5 million Americans who struggle to put a meal on the table. Pretty much every chef, restaurateur and culinary icon in New York was there last night, leaving one to wonder who was manning the city's restaurants. Seamus Mulllen, Executive Chef and partner at Boqueria told us the number one food for the holidays was oysters. "Just a little lemon is all you need. I'm somewhat of a non-conformist. Other Details: Attendees were treated to a 12-minute film about conductor Michael Tilson Thomas and his ex-babysitter Frank Gehry, who is building a concert hall in Miami for the New World Symphony. Lin Arison has been on quite a book tour of late, hosting a signing right before Art Basel Miami Beach and now off to the West Coast for continued promotion.

Other Details: The exhibition, curated by June Newton, acts as a memorial to the man whose proactive black and white images were a mainstay of Vogue. It was put together by photographers Mark Arbeit, George Holz and Just Loomis who had met Newton while in college and later worked as his assistants. The show includes their art, memorabilia panels, snapshots, handwritten notes, journal pages, contact sheets, and other items. [Via]

The tale of a couple falling in love and falling out of love feels real and raw, and left pretty much everyone exiting the theater depressed. The melancholy mood was quickly alleviated at the after party at the Boom Boom Room set up by Quintessentially and Stoli. Blake Lively, who is rumored to be dating Ryan Gosling, stopped by causing many a hushed whispers; Peter Facinelli lorded over the pool table; and Michelle Williams hung out near the fireplace and chatted with director Derek Cianfrance.

Other Details: The exhibition featured paper designs by Pratt students studying fashion design, fine arts, industrial design and interior design. They were challenged to a semester-long study in texture and form to dress Pucci’s spring 2011 “GIRL 2” mannequins entirely in paper.
