Given that we work at a website that requires us to spend at least 2-3 nights a week at parties with celebrities, waiting in line for the bathroom next to them, fighting with them for cabs, we really don't get starstruck too often. Last night was an exception. Last night we saw Cher, Oprah, Julie Andrews, Colin Firth, and Julia Roberts. Last night was incredible.-

Other Details: This event is consistently one of the most inspiring evenings of the year, and the 2010 awards were no different. Oprah made a surprise appearance to introduce Julia Roberts, who warned teen girls to not wear their hair behind their ears because it never looks good.

Who Was There: John Mayer, John Legend, Common, Good Charlotte, Natasha Bedingfield, Kristin Chenowith, Lauren Conrad, Cheyenne Jackson, Pete Wentz, and JULIE ANDREWS!
Other Details: John Mayer talked about vaginal birth in his speech, and Benji Madden talked about needing, but being unable to pee, but Julie Andrews laughed through it all. Less funny? When host Cheyenne Jackson was thanking the honorees at the end, he slipped and said "Julie Dench." You could hear a pin drop in the audience.

Who Was There: Eric Ripert, Lockhart Steele, Anne Burrell, Christina Tosi
Other Details: Eric Ripert accepted his award for personality of the year. Christina Tosi of Milk Bar unveiled a new bun at the awards. Food at the party included compost cookies, clam chowder, wings by chef Andy Ricker. Also, this has got to be the most fun awards show ever.

Who Was There: Bob Saget, with real daughter Aubrey and TV daughters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Brian Williams, Seth Myers.
Other Details: It's nice that Mary-Kate and Ashley are consistently so supportive of Bob Saget still--they're always at his events, and vice versa.

Other Details: Women who came out for last night's event were in for a good time. It was a rare party with more men in the room, many of whom were single, straight, and deemed one of the city's most eligable. And if that weren't enough eye candy, models stood around the room on platforms showing off clothes and their other assets.
