The show brought out major performers like Iggy Pop and Patti Smith, with support from honorary chairpersons Uma Thurman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Arden Wohl, and Chuck Close. The concert was a huge success, with highlights including Patti Smith's rendition of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day," a performance of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and "Transmission" by New Order and Iggy Pop, and The National, Sufjan Stevens, and Nico Muhly joining on stage for a few songs.
