The gala, which serves as the opening of ABT’s spring season at the Met, raised $1.75 million dollars. A portion of the proceeds will support ABT’s education and community outreach programs. The evening featured exciting performances including Symphony #9, the first ballet of Alexei Ratmansky's World Premiere trilogy set to Dmitri Shostakovich's orchestral works, George Balanchine's dazzling Symphony in C, and aPièce d'Occasion choreographed by Marcelo Gomes and performed by Julie Kent and Roberto Bolle.
