Newton Knight

In 1862, a soldier named Newton Knight goes awol during the civil war and in short would later go on to form what was quite possibly one of the most epic (and impactful) rebellions in the history, leading a guerrilla force consisting of fellow deserters and the formerly enslaved in contribution to the ultimate overtaking of the confederate government, with the war ending in 1864.
