I strike for the trailblazers of the past, the brave women I know today, and the girls we are raising to run the world tomorrow. We can not close our eyes or our mouths because of the rights "we have already" - basic freedoms do not warrant praise when women are still paid less, looked down upon for speaking up, harassed in the workplace, and qualified based on their looks rather than their ideas. Hell, even our healthcare faces prejudice at the hands of our employers.
