The Meatball Shop

The Meatball Shop
What's the second most important element to Italian cuisine? After the sauce, the meatballs of course. At The Meatball Shop, they pretty much have it down pat. They do one thing, and they do it well. The meatballs are changed daily and can be served with a side (like pasta or mashed potatoes) or as a mash, on a sandwich. The "daily ball" can be anything from buffalo chicken, to Reuben balls and each one is amazing in its own way. This Lower East Side madhouse always has at least an hour wait for dinner and is worth every minute spent standing in line around the block (there are two other locations; 170 Bdford Ave and 64 Greenwhich St). This place is a must-try, and after one ball, you'll definitely be back for more. The Meatball Shop, 84 Stanton Street [Photo via]
