What: The Dream Downtown has always been home to some of the most popular spots downtown, from the rockstar-centric Electric Room to the sexy subterranean restaurant Cherry. Nonetheless, the hotel has managed to multiply its coolness quotient by bringing on restaurateur Serge Becker for his second outpost of Bodega Negra along with Strategic Group. The Mexican dishes prepared by Chef Michael Armstrong reflect the Strategic Group's emphasis on upscale, casual dining. The simple but well executed Bodega Guacamole is fresh and makes way for rich dishes like the open-faced Quasedilla Rustica, Crispy Pork Belly, Tostaditas, and Boiled Lobster. Another highlight is the El Don Huevo, a moist chocolate cake encased in a white chocolate shell which is slowly broken into the cake as warm caramel sauce is poured over it.
