Katz's Delicatessen (1888)
Everyone knows Katz's. The big name in pastrami and all around northern european jewish food. The deli played an important role in the 20th century when the Lower East Side became highly populated with immigrants and served as a meeting spot for many. It is also the home to the famous When Harry Met Sally orgasm scene if you still needed convincing to go get a sandwich.
