Northern Spy Food Co. is an unpretentious neighborhood restaurant in the East Village that focuses on good all-American food. The products here are all locally grown and sourced, and at only $50, their nightly five course meal is probably one of the best value tasting menus you will find in the city. The offerings are constantly changing, but expect comforting dishes like roasted lamb with Indian spiced granola, rabbit pot pie, and pear salad with roasted cauliflower and cider-braised cabbage.
