On September 9th, the stunning Princess Ameera Al-Taweel, a women's rights activist, philanthropist, and the fourth ex-wife of Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, wed the handsome billionaire businessman Khalifa bin Butti al-Muhairi in a super exclusive ceremony just outside of Paris. Held at the baroque Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, the festivities were attended by members of the Saudi elite and, of course, Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King.

All well and good, right?

WRONG!

Cue the drama.

According to the Daily Mail, an unnamed Saudi princess (we mean, how many can there be?!) reported that $1 million in jewelry was stolen from her suite at the Ritz Paris right after the opulent wedding.

While French police are still investigating the case, the jewels were reportedly not in a safe, and there were no signs of a break-in. It also marks the second jewelry heist at the hotel this year.

Photos at the event were strictly banned and guests were forced to sign NDAs (casual) but a few sneaky shots reveal that the evening ended with fireworks - nevertheless, the big bang at the end of the weekend was obviously not as magical.
