Isn't that just the worst? When your friend or your friend's about-to-be-spouse is close to your ex, or high school bully, or someone who fuels a political agenda that you've publicly spoken out against? So awkward, but there's nothing you can really do.
Such is the situation Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has found herself in. Today, she and her hubby Harry have arrived in Rome to celebrate the nuptials of oil heir Mikey Hess and designer Misha Nonoo, who is rumored to have set up the royal couple. Among the other A-list guests, there's Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, Karlie Kloss and her husband Joshua Kushner (who is besties with Mikey), and, incidentally, Josh's brother Jared who obviously brought along his wife, Ivanka Trump.
Back in May, Ivanka's father made headlines (per usual) when he called Meghan "nasty" after being informed of her comments during his 2016 election. She ended up staying home when the Trumps came to town, but Prince Harry seemed to be polite enough to Ivanka.
While we're sure both parties will keep to themselves, let's just hope the wedding planner sat them at separate tables.
