Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Surprised Fellow Diners At This Tribeca Favorite

Wondering where everyone's favorite excommunicated royals hang out when they're in the city?

Well, after a long day of advocating for human rights and celebrating the legacy of Nelson Mandela over at the United Nations, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the most of their New York City trip by hitting Tribeca hot spot Locanda Verde for dinner with friends.

And despite the fact that the celebrity-frequented eatery is well-equipped for VIP visitors looking for privacy (after all, it is owned by Robert De Niro), the Duke and Duchess of Sussex skipped the private dining room and "dined like commoners" in the middle of the bustling Italian restaurant.

We mean, not that we'd consider anyone willingly paying $34 for a plate of pasta much of a "commoner," but we digress.

While the couple's security team did warn patrons not to snap any pics, Harry and Meghan were reportedly more than friendly to fellow diners, and even went out of their way to wish a happy birthday to someone celebrating at a nearby table.

As for their royal menu picks? An onlooker told Page Six that the pair, along with the other couple they were out with, ordered the Sardinian sheep’s milk ricotta, steak tartare, ravioli, and, naturally, some red wine to wash it all down.
