ICYMI (or just don't care, which is fair), everyone's favorite excommunicated royal couple is currently in town ahead of their appearance at the Global Citizen Live concert in Central Park this Saturday. Of course, they've already packed in a few other photo ops and visits while they've been here, stopping by One World Trade Center and the 9/11 Memorial with Mayor Bill de Blasio and new Governor Kathy Hochul and meeting with U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
As for where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are staying during their New York visit? That would be none other than The Carlyle, notably Princess Diana's favorite spot in the city.
Harry and Meghan checked into the luxe Upper East Side hotel when they arrived on Wednesday and were quick to hit the beloved Bemelmans Bar for dinner and a nightcap with their friends Misha Nonoo and Mikey Hess, whose wedding they attended alongside Ivanka Trump back in 2019.
The iconic spot, where Prince Harry was spotted again on Thursday, was an unsurprising choice for the globally-recognized couple. The upscale jazz and cocktail lounge is frequented by A-listers and celebrities on the nightly, and we'd say they know how to treat all of their guests like royalty.
Plus, there's really no better spot in town for mom and dad to indulge in a martini or two on their night off from the kids.
