Summer 2011 Fashion: Stylish Sun Protection

by Christina Makoyawo · May 31, 2011

We can never speak enough about sun protection. As our beautiful planet milli-inches more towards the sun [Scary thought eh? We didn't even have a Spring!], we HAVE to protect our skin.  Why not be stylish while you're at it. Here's a mini buyer's guide to some wardrobe pieces to liven up and guard you up against the sun.

A warning of what could happen if you don't take precaution:

Okay so you don't want to look like this...or maybe you do given that engagement ring.

Nor do you want to OD and look like this shellacked-up chap...he looks like he fought his sunscreen bottle actually.

We all know the sun damages skin but what about the heat & UV rays attacking our hair? The sun has the tendency to suck out the moisture (no brainer) from each and every strand on our heads. Needless to say this would go hand in hand with protein damage. The heat also affects our hair's protein, more specifically the keratin within the hair. Protecting your head's mane is as essential as your skin.
