Uber
Uber is a tried and true method of NYC transportation. In fact, word on the street is that there are now more Ubers on the road than traditional Yellow Taxis. However, no matter how many free water bottles and fancy mints are offered, the app has gotten its fair share of heat concerning its infamous surge pricing. Instead, we recommend using UberPool for your work commute. For a flat rate of $5 between the hours of 7-10 a.m. and 5-8 p.m., UberPool will drive you to work and pretend not to notice when you steal bottles of water to hoard under your desk. While UberPool is typically intended as a Carpool service, I would like to note that I've taken it to work without picking anyone up on the way. No strangers? Free water? Flat rate? Now that's my kind of commute.
