Bar Americain
If you want Thanksgiving prepared by a celeb chef who offers tradition along with variety, then Bobby Flay's Bar Americain is your place. Flay is serving up a shellfish raw bar and appetizers like Rhode Island Johnny Cakes and a barbecued duck with a seasonally-themed cranberry butter sauce. Bar Americain's maple glazed roasted turkey is unique, accompanied by cornbread, wild mushroom and bacon stuffing, a fig and Cabernet chutney, and creamed kale. It's one of the more ambitious versions out there.
If turkey sounds too trite, there is prime rib and lamp chops with seasonal sides. Bar Americain's Brussels Sprouts alone make a reservation worthwhile. At $80, Bobby Flay may be the way to go.
