Sophie grew up in New York City and holds her degree from Brown University. After graduation, Sophie began professionally taking photos – something that she has always been a part of from living with and going on shoots with her father, photographer Arthur Elgort. Over the years, Sophie has worked in many different parts of the fashion and entertainment industry, and in November 2009 she became the in house photographer for fashion start up ALIOMI. By New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2010 she was hired to photograph many of the featured shows and presentations.
