On June 20 the Standard Hotel debuted this year's StandART video series, which showcases video installations on all the televisions. Brought to you by the people at Creative Time, artists will Terence Koh, Kalup Linzy, Allison Schulnik, Andrew Cross, Naomi Fisher, Estafania Penafial Loaiza, and Slater Bradley.
This exhibit isn't the first time the Standard has played host to innovative art and technology. Marco Brambilla's Evolution and Civilization in the elevators to the Top of the Standard; created matchbooks with artist Chris Johanson; and recently hosted AOL's Seven On Seven competition, which paired seven leading artists with seven technologists and challenged them to create anything from a new application to a new social networking site. They also just erected KAWS statue, Companion (Passing Through), a sixteen-foot-tall sculpture hanging its head in shame

The Launch Party
The Standard, along with Creative Time and Interview Magazine hosted a launch party for the second year of the in-room video art series on Monday, June 20th, where guests and artists mingled over cocktails.
