CARDAMARO
We've got another digestif on our hands. This wine-based amaro hails from Piemonte and gets its flavor profile from a handful of epic-sounding herbs and spices like cardoon and blessed thistle (would you want your thistle any other way?), making it light brown in color with a subtle smokiness on the nose and tongue. There's a bit of nuttiness, some pine action, and a bit of sweet fruity notes happening too. Cardamaro's been described as a healthy alternative to Cynar, but is that really a concern at this point? This one is perfect for sipping at home - a bottle will run you about $20 and will last FOR-EV-ER, so try it neat or on ice after a nice dinner in.
