Learn The Word Intersectional

In the 1980s Kimberlé Crenshaw changed feminism radically by introducing the concept of intersectionality. For those who don't know, intersectionality is the overlapping and interlocking aspect of social identities. You are not just a woman or just black or just gay. Intersectionality means you are everything at once. But this is not the only idea to grasp. In order to be a better feminist, don't shy from reading and learning. Get yourself a good feminist theory reading list:

The Feminine Mystique, Betty Friedan

Feminism is For Everybody, bell hooks

Sister Outsider, Audre Lorde

The Second Sex, Simone de Beauvoir

We Should All Be Feminists, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
