Corpus, the high-end collection sold at Barneys, American Rag, and Oak, is introducing a less expensive Spring/Summer 2008 line called "byCorpus" for Urban Outfitters, helping them single out the "cool indie labels" by joining the likes of Steven Alan and Spring & Clifton. In sync with the main line's philosophy of classic yet edgy style, byCorpus features preppy pieces that are unique enough to be recognized as part of the Corpus family. I'm estatic about seeing this new line...if their ad campaign is any indication of what's to come, it's going to be hot!

Denim and crisp button-down shirts are staples of the byCorpus summer collection, lending a beachy, J.Crew-esque quality to the byCorpus line. All in all, this is an exciting venture for independent design companies like Corpus to get their name out into the world of mainstream fashion, and byCorpus Spring/Summer line is a great place to start.
