Do you have a hidden party trick?

Marisa: Serve items that can be prepped ahead of time and popped into the oven so you can enjoy time with friends rather than slaving away in the kitchen. A calm host makes for a more enjoyable party!

Use elevated disposable items to create beautiful tablescapes with no clean up.

Self serve bar, large tub with ice. Throw in wine and beer set glasses and opener nearby. For cocktails, make a large pitcher so you don’t have to make them one by one. Everyone helps themselves and makes them feel at home, while you don’t have to be stuck in the kitchen.  Turn on music while you finish getting dressed and pour yourself a drink!

Caroline: My biggest trick is setting the table the night before or morning of, which I learned from Marisa.

Which box do you use most often?
Marisa: I use ‘The Pancho’ most often. It is named after my husband Frank who has the nickname Pancho (Caroline’s dad is named Frank also and has had the nickname Pancho his entire life, ironically). I've always loved the Mexican food and culture, and my husband and I got married in Cabo. A good fiesta night is always fun, lighthearted and delicious. The piñata centerpiece is always a crowd pleaser.

Caroline: My favorite is ‘Salt n’ Sea’ with the add-on ‘You are my Lobster.’ I love any and all shellfish. You can throw away the  plates right after you get super messy eating, but get to keep the cute Lobster Platter. I've reused it as a serving tray for other seafood and also pasta. It takes me back to my New York life before I moved to Santa Monica.
