Erica Davis and Catherine Carter, Founders of The Sip

Inspired by their monthly girls' nights and passion for champagne, founders Erica Davis and Catherine Carter wanted a taste beyond the big Champagne brands, but discovering new sparkling wines, and getting their hands on them, was harder than they expected. When they couldn't find a go-to for Champagne discovery, they decided to do what all good innovators do - create their own. Thus, The Sip, a bubbly subscription box, was born. As women in the wine industry, a space all too often known for its gate-keeping and overwhelmingly white, male old guard, Erica and Catherine are carrying on the tradition of the female trailblazers who actually led to the sparkling wine we enjoy today (Madame Clicquot, Louise Pommery, Lily Bollinger, and Mathilde Perrier) while committing to a mission of diversity within their own company. Cheers to that!
