If you haven't caught it on one of its earlier trips through town, I can't advise all of you strongly enough to go catch the newest iteration of Spiegelworld, down at Pier 17 of the South Street Seaport. It's a little bit cabaret, a little bit circus, a lot of biergarten.
Anchored by the return of the cabaret-style Absinthe, the organizers have added a new production, Desir, a "theatrical circus experience which takes you backstage at the greatest nightclub the world has ever seen." Whichever of those two you see, you can end the night at The Gazillionaire’s Late Nite Lounge. As last summer, there is also a series of concerts (The up-to-date schedule is here) and DJ programs almost every night, including salsa, Afro-Brazilian House and "Headphone Disco" nights. You can also just sit in the Green Fairy Garden with a cocktail with a great view of the NYC Waterfall Project.
