The Case For The Needlepoint Belt

by Rachelle Hruska · August 21, 2008

the needle point beltI have a friend with a needlepoint belt.  He takes his belt very, very seriously.  If I remember correctly,  it was a present from his sister, and each logo he's had stitched on it has commemorated a life event worth remembering.  There's space for a couple more to add to.  There are ones for the sports he's played, schools he's conquered, and hobbies he's acquired.  It is obnoxiously preppy, and definitely silly. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen.  And, though I will, for years to come, facetiously ask how his belt has been doing (like one may ask about a family pet), I will secretly wish that I had one of my own....

I found THIS blogger who writes more about the needle point belt by way of A Continuous Lean by way of DBTH (*GASP!).  I am developing a formal crush on the former too.  Besides the needle point belt thing, they like Jazz in Newport, Dark and Stormy's, and dressing in nice shoes and ties when they fly....could one ask for more in a man?  Scott has friends like this? Maybe I should start hanging out with him more....
