I just feel like it's been a hot second since I bought something semi-random, you know?
Fun fact: Though I am obsessed with the idea of taxidermy - scrolling online through all of the fun exotic choices that definitely aren't cool to own but are way too cool not to - I am actually deathly afraid of taxidermy in real life. I once dragged my husband across Paris on foot to go to this amazing taxidermy and curiosity shop Deyrolle, but when I got to the door and saw a tiger, I completely froze. Mind you, if I went to a zoo and saw a tiger, I'd feel nothing.
Freud would say that I have a serious problem with confronting the sublime. Which is all to say that this lobster claw would actually be perfect for me because it's small and unassuming enough not to send me into an anxiety attack, but will also satisfy my bizarre interest.
