Ever feel like your family's dinner table antics could be adapted into a full-length play? Artist David Levine has done the work for you - with critically acclaimed results. Come September, Levine's project "Habit" will make its way to NYC's Essex Street Market. Presented by PS122 and the Crossing the Line Festival, "Habit" is a cross between theater and art. The setting? A four-walled American ranch house that houses fully-functional plumbing and is fully stocked with food and other provisions. The action? Three actors perform the same 90-minute drama on a continuous look for eight hours... and while the lines are the same, the staging shifts according to the actors' needs. This sounds sort of like the time you were in your eighth grade play and had your mom help you out with your lines while you helped clear the dinner table (but way more professional).
Depending on your Kickstarter pledge, you can have your photo featured on the set as that of a family member or even hear your name spoken during the performance. The best part? The performance will be free.
