Bike-In-Theater
Thought up by two clever cycling enthusiasts, the Bike-In-Theater is a spin on the classic Drive-In-Theater. Picture a summer pop-up movie event where feature films are projected on buildings, warehouses, mountain faces or (we'd like to see this one) vehicles. Now add food vendors, bike parking and a lot to watch the films. And - bam! - you've got yourself a Bike-In-Theater. The best part? Nobody will ever be able to cram as much into a bike basket as Fred and Carrie's characters on
Portlandia brought to the park during their
"Outdoor Movie" sketch. Event organizers are currently raising funds for production costs for film events in New York and San Francisco.
