Speaking of Anna Wintour, the fashion guru's #1 choice for eye (and arm) candy, Roger Federer got married this weekend to long-time Mirka Vavrinec, who has been the tennis pro's manager for years. The wedding took place Saturday in Basel, Switzeland, his hometown. More story and photos below...
He announced the marriage on his personal Web site.
Vavrinec, a former top 100 women's player, met Federer in 2000 at a tournament in Sydney, Australia, and is expecting the couple's first child this summer.
"Earlier today, in my hometown, surrounded by a small group of close friends and family, Mirka and I got married," the 13-time grand slam champion wrote. "It was a beautiful spring day and an incredibly joyous occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Federer wish all of you a Happy Easter weekend. Love, Roger."
It is the first marriage for both.
The 27-year-old Federer, the former top-ranked player on the men's tour, is to play at next week's Monte Carlo Masters and will attempt to win his 14th Grand Slam title later this year.
The only grand slam he has never won is the French Open. [via Upi]
