A woven bag for all seasons? Behold the brilliance that is Pamela Munson!
Back in 2017, after over 15 years working for iconic brands like Chanel, Oscar de la Renta and Bergdorf Goodman, Pamela launched her eponymous line of annoyingly chic straw handbags and accessories. Straight from the start, her brand's timeless, modern pieces have been must-haves for Fashion World Favorites and Instagram It Girls.
I mean, from her ribbon-handled basket totes and big bow shoulder bags to her precious straw clutches and divine chapeaus, who could resist?
These days, Pamela can be seen modeling her new Resort 2021 collection around town. But just what is she packing inside her perfectly posh rattan dream bag?
The long and short of it is too much! You will usually find an eclectic mix of items in my bag – ranging from cosmetics to handbag materials to children’s toys/snacks/wipes to hand sanitizer and masks.
I’m pretty minimalist when it comes to makeup so generally you will find Cle de Peau concealer, Aquaphor for my lips and Nars blush in Orgasm.
I keep my cosmetics, hand sanitizer and mask in a PAMELA MUNSON raffia pouch with Greek key embroidery. It’s a bag we did last season that has become one of my most loved pieces. It’s super-soft and lightweight which is important.
My Mason Pearson hair brush that was given to me by my husband when we started dating. His mother always used one so he wanted me to have one! It’s the best.
I worked at Chanel for years and still have many goodies. Right now, I’m loving my timeless classic quilted wallet in black.
The bag I’m carrying on repeat is The Lady Bag from our Resort 2021 Collection. It’s a beautifully handwoven rattan bag with an embossed lizard leather panel and top handle. I love wearing straw - especially ‘off season!’ It’s an exciting time for our brand, as we’re transitioning to a direct-to-consumer model allowing greater accessibility to the line and value to customers. We’ve been fortunate to sell our products at some of the finest retailers in the world – Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Shopbop and Forty-Five Ten – but I fully believe the future is having a more direct, meaningful relationship with our clients and expanding our product offering.
