-Along with Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman beat world champion and teammate Jordyn Weiber when she qualified for the individual finals.
-Though Aly tied with a Russian gymnast for 3rd place in the individual finals, a new rule prohibited her from receiving a medal at the event, and bumped her into 4th place.
-Aly's parents were in the stands as the team won the gold last week, and camera's captured their reaction to their daughter's uneven bars routine. The video, which shows her parents squirming with nerves, quickly went viral. Check out the video
