To celebrate beloved designer Olivier Rousteing's 10 year anniversary as the creative director of Balmain, it took nothing less than an all-out fashion festival.
The iconic French house hosted 6,000 well-heeled guests at La Seine Musicale music hall for its two-day Paris Fashion Week festivities, which featured musical performances, a two-part fashion show, supermodels galore, and a special "appearance" by Beyoncé.
A-list fashionistas filled the front row while the likes of Jesse Jo Stark, Doja Cat, and Franz Ferdinand took to the stage between presentations. Although Queen Bey wasn't physically in attendance, her presence was felt thanks to her special prerecorded opening message to Rousteing in which she described him as a "fresh, audacious, [and] empowering" force in fashion.
As for the famous names and faces that took over the catwalk in Balmain's Spring/Summer 2022 collection? None other than runway vets including Naomi Campbell, Carla Bruni, Karen Elson, Natasha Poly, Precious Lee, Cindy Bruna, and Natalia Vodianova.
The glittering, glamorous bash was also a cause to give back, raising funds for charity partner (RED) in the fight against AIDS and Covid-19, and to aid women in third-world countries.
