Though this may be chump change for Hillary we can think of thousands of pieces in the same price range that would at least make her look more presidential and less Violet Beauregarde. Regardless, Hillary Clinton is favored by the same type of voters who believe expensive pantsuits lead to strong leadership, the older and the wealthy. So, perhaps, at least for Hillary, her wardrobe correlates with her voter base.
