On July 18th 2014, Uber teamed up with local ice cream trucks to bring on demand cold treats to 144 cities, in 38 countries, on 6 continents. In order to fight the warm summer weather, users could request an ice cream truck to deliver sweets without the hassle of needing cash to pay.
