Montauk's East Deck Motel Sold for $15M

I realize that only a fraction of people reading this will care about the sale of the East Deck out in Montauk, but this news hits very close to home for me and anyone else that calls Ditch Plains their summer beach. Whether you care about billionaire Mike Repole's plans for the iconic summer motel or not - check out the comment section on Cubred. It's full of gems like:  "I can hear the hipster douche bags & Euro trash giddy with excitement, this will be a total douche bag hotel filled with skinny jeans, thick rimmed glasses, and total assdicks!"

The East Deck Motel and Resort in Montauk's Ditch Plains, which was built in the '50s, has reportedly sold for $15 million.  Various people have told us that the buyer is Vitaminwater billionaire Mike Repole. He wants to turn the motel into a private surf club and relocate the pool. [Curbed]
