The Viennese Opera Ball, New York
The Viennese Opera Ball in New York is an annual charity gala with debutantes introduction held annual under the United States-Austria Chamber of Commerce. The Ball in New York takes inspiration from the famous Vienna Opera Ball in Austria, but it is an American non-profit organization. It is considered one of the few “white tie” events still in existence. The Ball opens with the Grand March of Dignitaries and Diplomats followed by the Presentation and Posting of the Flags by a West Point Color Guard, and finally the presentation of the Debutantes who dance with their escorts to a choreographed, what else, waltz.
