Modern Family star (and now two-time Best Supporting Actress Emmy winner) Julie Bowen recently teamed up with
Mylan Specialty L.P. to raise awareness about life-threatening allergic reactions.
After Bowen's five-year-old son Oliver had a serious allergic reaction to ingesting peanut butter as a toddler, Bowen channeled her inner Claire Dunphy supermom spirit and snapped into action.
Now, she's spearheading Mylan's
Get Schooled In Anaphylaxis campaign, which aims to educate school-aged children and their families about anaphylaxis. The initiative is also hosting a
scholarship contest for students in grades 1-12 who submit anaphylaxis awareness and preparedness plan for their schools.
