Sipadan Island, Malaysia
Sipadan is a little volcanic island off Borneo which took thousands of years to develop. It is thus one of the most exciting places for divers to explore. Over 3,000 different species can be found here, and all sorts of turtles can be seen swimming around. What is interesting is that limestone tunnels developed over the years underneath the island, and has become a “turtle tomb” for all the turtles in the area. Though Sipadan is hard to get to, it does attract a lot of divers from all over the world. It is very easy to find a luxurious resort on the Island, where you can cash in some R&R after your daily dives.
